About Us

Our Mission

It is our steadfast mission to provide exemplary service to the local governments and citizens of Autauga, Elmore, and Montgomery Counties. We execute this mission through community and economic development programs and projects; extensive local, state, and federal partnerships; and various engagement and funding opportunities.

Our Vision

CARPDC seeks to become the benchmark organization for advancing the growth of Central Alabama by enhancing access to opportunities of optimal interest to and growth of the counties, cities, and citizens of this Region.

Our Values

As an organization of outreach and service to the Region, we stand on the values of professionalism, integrity, coalition building, adaptability, and reliability.

Serving Autauga, Elmore, and Montgomery Counties

The Central Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission, or CARPDC (pronounced kärp-?dek), is one of twelve regional commissions in the State that was established to provide technical assistance to local governments in the areas of planning and development. We partner with communities in Autauga, Elmore, and Montgomery Counties to support local governments in the areas of Community and Economic Development, Planning, and Housing projects, policies, and initiatives.
