Central Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission, or CARPDC (pronounced carp-deck), is one of twelve regions in the state that is tasked with providing technical assistance to local governments in the areas of planning and development. CARPDC works for local governments in Autauga, Elmore and Montgomery Counties by providing assistance with Community and Economic Development, Planning and Housing projects, policies and initiatives.

The 2014 Alabama Trails Conference, “Celebrating 75 Years of Service of Alabama State Parks” will be held April 10 – 11, 2014 at the beautiful Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge located in Guntersville, Alabama. The conference is the third trails conference highlighting Alabama’s top trails from the initial development through the entire growth process.
